I am a Harry Potter collector. I have all the horceuxes (sept for harry) this is one of the cheapest looking pieces i have. Made of flimsily plastic. Was expecting a lot more i got the snitch in a case like this and it was AMAZING so i was expecting BOOM and i got thud (if that makes semse lol) its actually ok for the price it will do for my collection untill i get a better one. After that it will go to a friend who loves Harry Potter almost as much as me but doesnt have much of a collection.
I really like this locket! It's worth the price for a fun Harry Potter piece to wear with a costume or to a party or something. As others have said, the chain is metal and the locket is plastic, so the colors of the two don't match, but it's still fun, and it's got a really cool snake design on the front. The sticker book is really nest too, they're bigger than I thought they would be, about 2" x 2". One downside though, my mom says since I got it she's been feeling nauseous, so the horcrux powers may still be active!!! ;) I'd say a good price for a cheap horcrux Harry Potter fans will like.
Got this after seeing the $70 original in a HP collectors magazine. There is a You Tube video of someone comparing the original to this plastic knock -off and I was pleased to see that the this one looks VERY similar. Purchased it as a toy for my 9 year old and she loves it. Fits a small piece of paper inside. A little tricky to open at first. I think the open/ close mechanism will probably stop working if used very much ( because its plastic) but my kids have played with it daily, even dropped it, and it's held up fine. Great addition to a kids HP collection of pretend play.
worked well for what we needed (a Harry Potter party where we did a horcrux scavenger hunt). It is plastic and maybe wouldn't last for years and years, but it does look good and provided what we needed.
The piece where the chain connects is no where near as fragile as everyone says. The locket is as accurate as possible to the description in the book. You can't open it alot or it will start to kinda fall apart. But you can put it back together. It's great.
We gave this to our son on his 9th birthday and he LOVED it so we were all super disappointed when it broke so quickly. On the first day my son realized that when he opened the locket, the front part opened up and not the middle where it was supposed to. On the 2nd day the round part that the chain goes through broke. Very cheap product. Unless its going on a shelf I would not recommend buying this as it cannot withstand normal wear.
It had a few scratches on one side of the necklace, which is kind of a bummer for a new item. Considering it is cheap plastic, it works for a costume. “You get what you pay for.â€
I just got this locket to today in addition to the 50.00 locket I recently purhcased from Noble Collection. The one one from Noble Collection is definatly not as "cheap" looking as this one but the price differences should be obvious. I would feel less afraid to wear this 8.95 locket more often than I do with my Noble Collection. Overall they are both really cool and this one is way better for kids or if you want to wear it a lot. I do prefer the design on the Noble one because the snake is cool looking but this one is slightly longer which is also a plus.
